Volunteer in the Neighborhood
We are always looking for volunteers to make our neighborhood more exciting and engaging. These are a few opportunities available, but be sure to let us know if you can think of other ways to help the neighborhood.
Annual Neighborhood Picnic
Each year we hold a picnic to welcome new neighbors and reconnect with old. Volunteers are needed to help set up the event, run day-of activities, prepare a dish to share, or even let use their yard to hold the event.
Flamingle
Every few weeks, we hold a happy hour at a neighbor’s front yard. it’s usually on a Friday or Saturday, but good weather alone may be a reason to hold one. It doesn’t really take much to host a Flamingle other than letting your neighbors crash your yard and maybe letting a toddler or two use the restroom after drinking too many juice boxes.
Earth Day Neighborhood Cleanup Day
Our neighborhood has a few dead ends and some paths that don’t get as much attention as our front yards. Bel Pre Creek sits directly north of our neighborhood and it’s often littered. We are hoping to clean up some of those areas and we need volunteers to help. If you can volunteer even an hour or two, we can make our neighborhood that much nicer.
Neighborhood Yard Sale
Each year we hold a yard sale that benefits our neighborhood association and some local worthy cause. If you want to donate items for the yard sale, volunteer your time to help day-of, or you want to hold your own yard sale on the same day to draw more people to our sale, let us know.
